Answer: Market Street and the North side of the Borough trash goes Tuesday and Friday. South of Market Street trash goes Monday and Thursday. Recycling and large item pickup are on the second pickup day. Holidays trash pickup will be pushed back until the next business day. Reminder: You can put one large item out per week. You can pay Penn Waste directly for additional pickups. Trash cans need to be stored at the rear of your property, not in the front.

Answer: Street sweeping begins the first full week of May and July (except when the 4th falls on the first full week and then it will be the second full week of July). Posting of signs is done the day prior to street sweeping. You will be fined if you don't move your vehicle. The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday: Market Street, Poplar Street, Worth Street, Orange Street, and Stanton Street
Wednesday: Monroe Street, S. Princess Street, King Street, Filbert Street, Philadephia St.
Thursday: N & S Highland Ave, N & S Adams St., N & S Clinton St., N & S Seward St., N & S Sumner St., (any blocks of Clinton, Sumner, Adams, and Seward South of W. King St. do not get done until Friday.)
Friday: N. Pearl St., S. Dewey St., Overbrook Ave., S. Pearl St., Hoke St., Herman St. (Any block of Clinton, Sumner, Adams and Seward South of King St.)
Answer: Yes. In accordance in Ordinance No. 382 any type of noise that is at an intensity or duration that disturbs or offends is in violation of the Ordinance. You may only operate loud mechanical devices (ie: saw, lawn mower, snow blower, etc.) between the hours of 7:00 am. and 10:00 pm. Any dog barking for a 1/2 hour or more is a violation of the noise ordinance.
Answer: Yes. Unless accompanied by a Parent, anyone under the age of 18 may not be in a public place between the hours of 11:00 pm and 6:00 am. No business may allow minors to remain in their establishment between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am unless employed there. No minor may be in an public place during scheduled school hours on any day in which school is in session in the School District of West York or other school district unless they are on a scheduled vaction or holiday observed by the school or the the child has permission to be absent from school or to be in a public place from an authorized school official.
